Abstract
Magistrsko delo opisuje razvoj komunikacijskega modula LTE za novi pametni števec. V prvem poglavju je predstavljena analiza obstoječih telekomunikacijskih tehnologij in uporaba le-teh v pametnih števcih. V nadaljevanju sledita opisa anten in napajalnih topologij, ki sta med pomembnejšimi sklopi na komunikacijskem modulu. Nato je glavna pozornost namenjena razvoju komunikacijskega modula LTE, ki je potekal po korakih. V prvem koraku smo preučili obstoječe komunikacijske module in podane zahteve. V drugem koraku smo nato s pomočjo obstoječih modulov in danih zahtev izbrali ustrezne komponente in anteno. Iz izbranih komponent smo v tretjem koraku načrtali ustrezno električno shemo vezja komunikacijskega modula. V četrtem koraku smo iz načrtane električne sheme narisali tiskano vezje z upoštevanjem zahtev elektromagnetne združljivosti. Na koncu smo dobljeno rešitev testirali v razvojnem okolju in predstavili dobljene rezultate.

Title:Development of communication module LTE for the new smart electricity meter
Abstract:
In this master's thesis a development of communication module LTE for the new smart electricity meter is described. In the first chapter, the analysis of already existing telecommunication technologies and their use in smart electricity meter is presented. Next are descriptions of two very important blocks of communication module: antennas and power supply. The main focus is on the development of communication module LTE, which was realized in five stages. Firstly, we gathered information about the existing communication modules and studied given requirements. Secondly, relevant components and an antenna were selected to meet the given conditions. Then, we designed an electric schematic of the communication module using those components. Based on that design, printed circuit board was drawn by taking into account the requirements for electromagnetic compatibility. In the last step, the obtained solution was tested in development environment and the results were commented.
