In the thesis two short answer problems related to pressure, buoyancy, and density, included in the 2016 national examination in physics are analyzed. One computational problem in 2016 is almost identical to the one included in the 2012 examination and has already been subject of in-depth analysis in the past. Both quantitative and qualitative detailed comparisons of the solutions of the two problems are presented in the paper. We compare the pupils' success and highlight the differences in answers and in their contents in two years under consideration. The second analysed problem served mostly to get an overview of the correct and incorrect answers that the pupils give for the problem. The analysis is carried out for a sample that is representative for the whole population ad was prepared by the National Examination Centre.
