The main problem of the thesis is the definition of art technique frottage and its placement between drawing and graphic arts. Frottage was first formed by surrealist Max Ernst, therefore the definition of surrealism is defined in the first part of the thesis. The fusions between conscious and unconscious according to Freud's disciple Jung are highlighted in the subsections, and there is also added the explanation of the meaning of dreams and subconscious.
The concept of drawing and graphic arts is presented in the following part of the thesis. The development of graphic arts and its applicability in art education are also defined within the chapter on graphic art. One of the most important graphic arts' artists is the artist Rembrandt, so the brief outline of his life and work is added.
Art technics of collage, frottage, and a few art works in these technics, are explained in detail in the following chapters.
The pedagogical part of the thesis presents selected artworks of children and the analysis of their works. There is also an explanation of conducted lesson and its course. More information is given in form of answers to the questions or hypotheses asked in the introduction of the thesis. My own art works and the analysis or evaluation of them are presented at the end of the thesis.
