Abstract
Moje diplomsko delo je rezultat večletnega dela z Romi in romskimi otroci v različnih osnovnih šolah. Velikokrat se je izkazalo, da so »drugačni« tako po svoji zunanjosti, kulturi, in jeziku kot tudi dojemanju, sprejemanju in reševanju različnih situacij, ki jih ljudje »večinske kulture« večinoma jemljemo kot samoumevne in vsakdanje. V uvodnem delu opisujem stanje Romov v preteklosti in danes ter značilnosti njihove kulture in vzgoje. Predstavljam smernice za vpeljavo Vzgojnega načrta, ki jih je leta 2008 poslalo na vse slovenske šole Ministrstvo za šolstvo in šport. Dokument mora imeti vsaka šola in ga evalvirati vsako leto. To naj bi zagotovilo, da je dokument v neprestanem spreminjanju, saj se značilnosti generacij otrok z leti prav tako spreminjajo. V empiričnem delu naloge predstavljam rezultate raziskave, s katero sem skušal potrditi hipotezo, da enaki vzgojni ukrepi in dejavnosti nimajo enakega učinka na učence večinske populacije in romske učence. Anketo sem opravljal preko spleta, med učitelji štirih kočevskih šol. Rezultati ankete so potrdili mojo hipotezo. Potrdil sem tudi svojo drugo hipotezo, t.j., da so romski otroci zanemarjeni na področju vzgoje, socialnih veščin in socializacije. V zaključku podajam svojo interpretacijo celotne situacije in nekaj predlogov za njeno izboljšanje.

Title:Effectiveness of educational activities and measures with Roma pupils according to educational plan
Abstract:
My thesis is the result of several years of work with the Roma and Romani children in various elementary schools. My experience has shown they are »different« by their appearance, culture, language and ultimately the perception, acceptance and resolution of different situations, which people of the »majority culture« mostly take for granted. In the first part I am describing the situation of the Roma in the past and today, the characteristics of their culture and upbringing. I am presenting the guidelines, which were sent to all Slovenian schools by Ministry of education and sport in 2008 to introduce educational plan. Each school has to have this document and evaluate it each year. This should ensure that the document is in constant change, because the characteristics of the generations of children over the years are also changing. In the empirical part of the thesis I am presenting the results of a survey in which I tried to confirm the hypothesis that the same educational measures and actions do not have the same effect on children of the majority population and Roma children. The survey was carried out via the internet among teachers of four schools in Kočevje region. The survey results have confirmed my hypothesis. I also confirmed my second hypothesis, which is, that Roma children are neglected in the field of education, social skills and socialization. In conclusion, I am presenting my interpretation of the whole situation and stating several proposals for improvement.
