This master's thesis deals with the development of a custom made electropneumatic mechanism for an airsoft rifle and in detail with the development of an electronic controller for such a mechanism.
In the introduction, different mechanisms of airsoft rifles are described, the electropneumatic mechanism is explained in detail, different electropneumatic mechanisms on the market are described and compared. Later on, we present the development of a custom made electropneumatic mechanism and the electronic controller for it. The mentioned electropneumatic mechanism is based on linear electromagnetic actuators. The controller uses non-contact sensors for sensing the position of the trigger and the selector lever and uses an external unit for changing the parameters and displaying the state of the system to the user.
