The theoretical part of this diploma study contains the research of a drawing as a basis of illustration, it's main elements: dot, line and art space, different views of modern drawings and modern artists' exploitation of modern technology, short overview of the history of ilustration from prehistoric era to the 20th century, as well as a short overview of literary illustration in Slovenia from the year 1945 till the present day. Further, I've focused on the development of modern Slovene illustrations, with different views on illustration and the development of images with infiltration of modern technology through different timelines. I've researched the importance and role of illustrations from the first characters and images from extinct civilizations, up to fragmenting and explaining stories that contain visual images, as well as the importance of the quality of illustrations for the good of human development. I've also analyzed each work from three renowned slovene artists with different expressive styles. Personal artwork arose while reading different genres of songs, with a modern approach to it. The pedagogical part of this diploma study was done within an art workshop that contained drawing illustrations from the influence of a poem.
