This thesis deals with experimental tests of two simply supported composite beams (steel - timber) loaded in bending. The first beam is assembled of a steel beam IPE140 and a glued laminated (GL) timber plate. The second beam has equal steel cross-section and a cross-laminated timber (CLT) plate. The thesis focuses on the manufacturing and construction procedures of the beams, the preparation for testing and on the analysis of test results.
