The aim of the thesis is to develop a measurement system for evaluating the illumination units used in computer vision system. The illumination units are one of the key components of the system, ensuring a sufficient amount of light during the process of image acquisition. Illumination units must be reliable and stable. The measurement system would improve the current quality control in the process of illumination unit production.
The thesis evaluates the image sensor - camera as a central component of the measurement system and presents a method of providing a wide dynamic range for the measurement of even more powerful illumination units in the near feature.
Based on the results, we propose a measurement procedure and calculation of features that can be used for quality classification of the produced illumination units
