Abstract
Morska lupina človeka spremlja skozi celotno zgodovino.

Title:Shell form in sculpture
Abstract:
The sea shell accompanies man throuout history. Its meaning had metamorfed and changed during time. In first civilizations the sea shell had a dualistic function, it has served as a monetary meaning, on the other side it had significant spiritual role as it had been used in religious rituals. The thessis is supported by arheological finds in graves and temples. Also there are parallels betwen first civilizations and simbilical meaning of the shell despite their geographical alienation. The spiritual meaning of the sea shell kept its meaning until the 19. century when economical advances swept aside religious component of man. In moderen art the sea shell got a second wind of attention. Artists in search of the answer for spiritual desires of observer started to use the sea shell once again and trasform it in multi layerd object that oposes time.
