The rules are an important part of our everyday lives because they accompany us in all areas of nature and society (home, school, road, social life, work, cultural institutions). Social rules are important in order to harmonize different opinions and beliefs more easily. They define what our treatment to others must be, how to behave but on the other hand they also regulate our relations in society. Rules for younger pupils are often written or displayed like image. They must agree in advance how to behave in case of violation of the rules. Most important thing is to impart child’s key rules of life that can be achieved by education. A child can be learned proper manners in early adolescence, which is a key element for successful functioning in society. During adolescence pupils learns about the norms and rules which are gradually took as his own and this is achieved by moral education, which is an important process in the development of the child. This is developed only with a supportive environment and a good example.
To verify the knowledge of the rules of first graders, I used interview of an open type. The sample of interviewees included 36 first graders. Data was collected by direct observation of students in the classroom with the implementation of selected activities involving work with photos, wrong story and a board game. I watched how the students interact in a group, how they deal with the creation of its own rules, and which problems will arise in understanding of instructions and at work itself. The sample of respondents was represented by two classes of first graders of elementary school branch. I have found that students are very familiar with permanent social rules, because they did not have any problems in listing these individual tasks and instant they were able to explain why certain rules applicable in individual establishments and correct inappropriate behavior, where this was necessary. It was more difficult to them to determine completely new rules of a board game.
