The diploma addresses automatization of a tube expanding machine. The machine must be produced in conformity with the machinery directive 2006/42/EC, to be labeled with the CE label. It must be resistant to industrial environment.
The directives relevant for this machine are stated. Requirements of the machinery directive and assessment of conformity are described. After general description of the machine a risk assessment is made. It shows the necessity of safety devices. A control system is set up. Programming of the programmable logic controller is described. Two-hand activation system is described and the procedure of choosing other components of the system is explained. Electrical connections which increase safety are described. The degree of protection against the environment is argumented.
The result of automatization is a machine, conformable to the machinery directive, and labeled with a CE label. As such it is safe for the end user and suitable for the market of European Union.
