Abstract
V magistrskem delu smo ugotavljali, kakšne so možnosti vključevanja nordijskega smučanja v prvo in drugo triletje osnovne šole.

Title:Nordic skiing in the first and second triad of primary school
Abstract:
In this master thesis we researched options of including nordic skiing in the first and second triad of primary school. The aim was to determine how many Slovenian schools are including nordic skiing in their curriculum and what kind of opinion teachers have on teaching nordic skiing in the first and second triad of primary school. Master thesis consists of theoretical and empirical part. In the theoretical part we defined nordic skiing, school trips and field days. We explored the options that national curriculum for sport is giving us to implement nordic skiing in the first and second triad of primary school. The empirical part was based on quantitative empirical method of pedagogical research. The sample comprised 187 teachers (primary school teachers, physical education teachers and other pedagogical teachers), from 90 schools from all Slovenian regions. The data was processed with basic descriptive statistics. The results of study showed that approximately 10 % of Slovenian schools are including nordic skiing in thier yearly plan. There are plenty of reasons why schools are not including nordic skiing, but the most dominating reasons were lack of conditions, equipment and staff. Majority of teachers think, that teaching nordic skiing in the first and second triad is necessary and that kinds do not get familiar enough with those contents. Majortiy of teachers also think that their school would be interested in implementing nordic skiing in winter field days, if external provider would, for a reasonable price, take care of material conditions and appropriate staff.
