Abstract
Predstavila sem pomen sproščanja in različne metode sproščanja.

Title:Yoga through storytelling
Abstract:
Nowadays both children and adults experience stress, which means that it is important to start introducing different relaxation methods as early as in the preschool period. This thesis focuses on yoga as one of relaxation methods. The theoretical part defines stress, its symptoms and consequences in children. It also discusses the significance of relaxation, different relaxation methods and the importance of physical activity and using all the senses on the path to relaxation. Moreover, it provides a brief description of yoga, its origins, types and benefits, and touches on the relevance of breathing in yoga and asanas, i.e. yoga postures. The thesis contains guidelines for yoga with children aged from 3 to 6 years because it is significantly different from yoga for adults. It presents the concept of storytime yoga and the forms and methods of work in yoga-related activities. It connects yoga with the kindergarten curriculum (1999) and defines the goals of each area that can be attained through yoga. As for the empirical part of the thesis, it presents the Storytime Yoga project we conducted with children aged from 5 to 6 years. The children were able to independently explore yoga through various games, breathing exercises and stories. They used the knowledge they obtained in the process and prepared their own dramatization of a story. They thought of a story, assigned the roles and performed it to the children from another group, thereby showing some yoga postures and encouraging them to star practicing it. We devised the goals and the course of the activities for each day that involved yoga. We also monitored the children's reactions, analysed all activities and added pictures for a more thorough presentation. Children responded positively to the introduction of storytime yoga and enjoyed the relaxing activities. In addition, they worked together and helped one another in practicing various exercises.
