Abstract
Diplomska naloga obravnava koncept inkluzivne edukacije.

Title:Concepts of inclusive education in theory and practice
Abstract:
The diploma thesis discusses the concept of inclusive education. A brief outline of the history of education for students with special educational needs, is followed by an overview of the Warnock Report. The latter presents one of the first formal appeals for integrated eduation of students with special educational needs and introduces the concept of special educational needs in educational discourse. Further on we will present some of the key elements of some theories of inclusive education, namely, those of Mel Ainscow, Roger Slee and Brahm Norwich. These authors offer different definitions and approaches for exploring inclusion. In our thesis we will also focus on points of convergence and diveregence between the authors. Partly we will also try to point out some difficulties that the mentoined theories face. Lastly we will discuss some results of an international research focusing on attitudes of teachers towards inclusion.
