Abstract
Spletni mediji in objavljanje vsebin v njih so ključni faktor današnje informacijske dobe.

Title:Automated publishing of contents in web media
Abstract:
Web media and content publishing are the key factors of todays information age. We want to be able to create contents and publish them as effective as possible. Several content management systems exists. They are usually not interconnectable and are incompatible with each other. This reduces the effectiveness when working with several different systems. Publishing the same content to multiple media is time consuming and confusing since the author has to input the content to several different systems and in case of later changes he has to edit the content in each system separately. Because we have not spotted any such tool which would make this kind of publishing easier, we have developed a web application, which automates the flow of the content from the author to the set of web media. In our system roles are assigned to users which allow them different levels of control over the content: authors, editors and publishers. Authors can publish the content to a set of web media including websites and email newsletters. This happens simultaneously by using a simple user interface. Publishers of the selected media receive the content from the author in a form suitable for publishing. Editors are allowed to edit already entered contents and have control over their publishing. The application is based on MySQL database and has been implemented in PHP programming language with an aid of CodeIgniter Framework. The application is interconnectable with other content management systems. We have tested the usability of the system on a few real cases with satisfactory results. Users without any training were able to publish contents easier and faster as they did with their previous solutions. The system still needs a few improvements to be compatible with the majority of content management systems and their publishing policies without introducing any major changes.
