Abstract
Specialistično delo raziskuje ustreznost metode petih ritmov kot oblike metod gibalno-plesne terapije – pomoči z umetnostjo. Orisane so stične točke področja umetnostne dejavnosti, psihoterapevtske dejavnosti in pomoči z umetnostjo. Natančno je definiran pojem metode gibalno-plesne terapija – pomoč z umetnostjo. Opredeljena sta pojma čuječnosti in samoopazovanja, ki sta pomembna v izvajanju dejavnosti pomoči z umetnostjo. Z uporabo metode petih ritmov in reflektivnega pristopa je gibalno-plesno metoda osebnostno-integrativno usmerjena. Omogoča opazovanje, sprejemanje, razvijanje in spreminjanje gibanja in plesa. Predstavljeni so osnovni teoretski koncepti metode petih ritmov. Z delno strukturiranim intervjujem so bila pridobljena mnenja, občutja, izkustva in individualne ocene o zaznavnih spremembah in učinkih metode petih ritmov. Zbrani podatki so bili kvalitativno – komparativno obdelani. Delo s čustvi vodi do zaznavnih sprememb v pretočnosti čustev, občutku notranje razbremenitve, večje sproščenosti in zaznavne spremembe čustvenega stanja pred in po vadbi.

Title:The method of five rhythms as a form of assistance with movement therapy
Abstract:
The specialistic paper is researching the suitability of the five rhytms method as a form of of dance-movement methods within art therapy. Converging points of artistic activities, psychotherapeutic activities and art therapy are described. The term method of movement-dance therapy - help with art is precisely defined. Also the terms mindfulness and self-reflection which are important in the process of art therapy activity are defined. With the use of the five rhythms method and the reflective approach the movement-dance method is personally –integrativelly oriented. It enables observation, acceptance, development and change of movement and dance. The basic theoretical concepts of the five rhythm method are presented. The main question of research is the suitability of five rhythms for use within the art therapy field, specifically dance-movement, and the possibiity of help with art therapy. The research was carried out based on 6 candidates, differentiated by sex, age, education, various potential limitations and individual needs, minor physical or mental dissability and the number of years of practising the five rhythms method. Due to known parameters and theoretical foundations, based on the definition of art therapy, the paper was set out as qualitative research using the inductive – deductive approach. With the partially structured questionnaire the opinions, feelings, experiences and individual evaluations of perceptive changes and effects of the method were collected. The data was qualitatively – comparatively processed. Because of the quantity of interviewees this is a multiple case study. The results of the study show, that the five rhythm method is conditionally suitable for work in the field of dance-movement therapy – art therapy. It is suitable for a wide group of users, regardless of their current needs, desires or limitations. The individual in the group has the possibility to express him/herself through movement/dance art medium, through their own thoughts, emotional states, wellbeing, needs and interests. The results of the research indicate the increase of ability for self-obsevation, self-awareness and self- reflection. On the level of the physical body an improvement in the fitness level, flexibility and flow is seen; feeling of greater connection between body parts, more body strenght, less tension, more variety in movement, spontanaity. Work with emotions leads to recognizable changes in emotion flow, feeling of internal relief, more relaxation and noticable difference of emotional state before and after practice. The effects of practice are collected thoughts, clearer focus, ability for clearer and more focused thought process. The results of the research show that with the increasing number of years of practice, the positive changes increase.
