This thesis describes my last year project which is the audio system implementation for the car audio competition purposes.
The introductory part briefly describes the development of car audio all the way to the beginnings of the first car audio competitions. There is a description of the subwoofer, car amplifier and the car battery which are the basic elements required to participatie in this kind of competition. Each competition has its own rules and categories. It is written here about three types of competitions and you can find a detailed presentation of the corresponding categories and rules. The equipment for measurements on the competitions is also described.
The main goal was to win the car audio competition in one of the categories, or at least achieve a score of 155 decibels. You can read about project planning and selection of the right category, see the pictures and description of the car preparation, additional electrical wiring with extra AGM batteries, the construction of the box for two subwoofers and some tests that have been made. I have encountered the problem when I couldn't calculate the dimensions for the subwoofer box due to incorrect subwoofer parameters which I found online on the official webpage of the subwoofer brand. The solution was to do it in a more practical way like people did in old days when not everyone had a personal computer at home. The final section describes the results of the final competition which were more than satisfactory.
