ABSTRACT
This thesis will be based on general and practical knowledge from our family business, where I work. My tasks involve assembly, service and repairs, heating technology in the hot water heating system and making adjustments to different parameters for the regulation of heating devices.
In the first part of the thesis I will describe the elements of the heating technology, that are used in the hot water system of a residential house. I will try to determine the burden of investment and energy product, that is used for heating. I will also describe the guidelines for the future, and devote special attention to reducing heating costs and maintaining the quality of life.
The hardware and the software are already highly developed in terms of safety, energy product utilisation rate and quality of life. However, users find the human-machine interface (HMI) complicated to use.
The second part of the thesis will involve the Samba SM35-J-R20 (PLC) controller with a built-in graphic touch screen produced by the company Unitronics. I will try to bring the heating system closer to less skilled users. The PLC + HMI product is competitive to current controllers for smaller buildings in terms of price. In the thesis I will design a programme and an HMI interface for one heating cycle to control the three-way motor mixing valve ensuring the desired temperature of the preflow and the circulation pump for the circulation of water in the hot water system. The following data will be collected: outside temperature, room temperature, temperature of the heat source, preflow temperature. The data will be sent to the PLC controller using Pt1000 sensors and the P7R-10-2 temperature converter via the RS485 serial communication.
