The object of the research is the sustainability of art concept which is the main ingredient of any art domain. Very little has been researched and written in the field of the knowledge of art concept. Monitoring, recognition and application of the knowledge of art concept are acknowledged outside standardized facility – the classroom, have greater time frame and offer possibilities of greater and deeper research in every field of art.
Art concepts should already be adopted in primary school. The acquisition of such concepts is, for some students, concluded by finishing primary education and for others, by finishing the secondary. The concepts are acquired in various fields of art and must be reinforced with instances of everyday life to facilitate the identification. In short, already adopted concepts are used in everyday life. The aim of the research is to ascertain the recognition of art concepts after the completion of art education and to demonstrate the application of art concepts throughout our lifetime. This is consistent in fashion and architecture. Such view gives the importance to Art as a school subject as people do care about the visual environment we live in.
Theoretical part of the thesis will emphasize art theory, which is important for qualitative recognition of all art areas, namely drawing, painting, fashion, photography, sculpture, architecture and visual communications. Sustainable knowledge is a result of knowledge based on practice, recognition and application of art concepts in everyday life, consciously or subconsciously connected with art and independent from art talent.
Empirical part of the research will include two parts: qualitative and quantitative one. The quantitative part will be carried out with the questionnaire answered by random selection of people. The questionnaire will include open questions and answers which will be qualitatively elaborated.
The acquired results of qualitative and quantitative research will contribute to new didactic quality and to a teacher’s insight of the sustainability of art concept. The results will also contribute to insights of thinking of an individual who uses the results of the knowledge, acquired during the schooling, in everyday life.
