The modern society cannot be imagined without electrical energy mainly because it is present on each step in our lives. An important part of it are electrical installations which power everything around us. Numerous companies have therefore created several programs which make planning easier for engineers. The goal of my master's thesis was to explore the operation and calculation procedures in the programs Elin, Simaris Design Professional and Ecodial Advance Calculation and compare the results with manual calculations.
