The purpose of the graduation thesis is the basic presentation of the project engineering of electrical installations for various types and sizes of facilities, with different approaches to the selection of equipment (in terms of electrical systems). The approaches with classical and smart (EIB) electrical installations will be treated. The essential criteria governing the decision to use one of these systems will be defined.
Smart installations are becoming an attractive option of electrical installations, primarily enabling greater flexibility in the management of the power-using equipment in the facility.
We will present both the strengths and the weaknesses of the classical and smart electrical installations, using examples of residential and commercial buildings. A comparison in terms of the functionality and costs of two existing buildings will be made.
The residential building treated is of the size of a large residential house, but fully equipped, i.e. with luxury equipment as appropriate for a modern building.
The commercial building treated is intended primarily for offices with storage areas, for which modern equipment is also appropriate.
Because of the relatively demanding legislation and technical regulations, as well as the variety of systems, large expertise and knowledge of the systems are required, including the evaluation in terms of cost, to be able to draft good-quality project documentation and to actually implement the project accordingly.
