The aim of the following thesis is, to present the course of testing, with which we test electrical medical equipment after repair and in recurrent tests, after it has already been sent into regular use. Testing is performed in accordance with Slovenian standard SIST EN 62353, which refers to an international standard.
In the theoretical part we present the requirements of the standard, how the tests are conducted, what do we need to take into consideration and which actions we need to take in case a non-compliance is found. We present the basic reasons for testing, in a form of effects of electrical current on human body and present the legal background.
In practical part of thesis we present how the tests are conducted and what sort of appliances are needed to perform testing and on what do we need to pay attention so that the tests would reflect as realistic state of tested device as possible.
