Abstract
Stroški oblikovanja in urejanja spletne trgovine niso upoštevani.

Title:Economic aspects of connecting optical cables
Abstract:
This thesis it is discusses whether, and under what conditions, it would be reasonable to start an independent company that would produce and sell patch optical cables. A realistic and objective estimation of the basic capital and the resources that would be needed for starting and running the company is presented. The thesis considers the cost of renting the business area, basic equipment for business space, industrial equipment that is needed for production of the final product, durable goods and service cost e.g. accounting, electricity, cost of infrastructure, domain registration for internet trading and cost of internet access. The costs of designing and managing an online shopping website are not included. All the costs have been reduced to the minimum, because there is always a problem for new companies to get the starting capital. Besides the above mentioned costs, the material costs of the end product are also considered. They are not negligible as they amount to almost half of the expected price on the market. The end price of the patch optical cable is determined by the comparable products prices of competing companies. The thesis takes into account the author’s estimation that after developing the basic skills, 25 pieces of patch optical cables would easily be produced in an 8-hour working day, amounting to approximately 6300 pieces a year. Considering all factors that influence the final price of the product along with the difference between the final price and the production cost, the conclusion is reached that it would be reasonable to open such a company if at least 15 pieces of patch optical cables are produced daily. The author's estimation is that it would be possible to produce about 25 pieces of the end product daily, so the company would run successfully if it managed to find customers to buy all its products.
