Abstract
V magistrski nalogi so predstavljene licence Creative Commons, pravna orodja, s katerimi ustvarjalci ponudijo svoja avtorska dela, na katerih so nekatere pravice pridržane. S tem avtorji želijo pridobiti razpoznavnost in ugled.

Abstract:
The thesis presents Creative Commons licenses, legal tools with which artists offer their works with some rights reserved. They do this in order so that their works spread online more easily. By doing so, authors wish to obtain recognition and reputation. Inside the book publishing this still remains unexplored type of promotion through which authors publish their literary works that are freely distributable online. In the research I have focused on those authors of literary works that use CC licenses. In the case study I investigated the motives for the use of licenses and impacts these have on purchasing of printed books and e-books. It was found that the CC licenses are not frequently used for literary works. By 2015 Slovenia has had no known established author using CC licenses. Visibility/recognition and consequently an increase in the proportion of books sold were dependent on whether the author's faithful readers spread the books awareness online via word of mouth or whether that was done through/ the authors/ the books have received media coverage and media reviews or blogs of opinion leaders.
