Abstract
Namen v okviru diplomskega dela izvedene raziskave je bil ugotoviti razumevanje pomena kemijske varnosti in varovanja zdravja v šolskem kemijskem laboratoriju pri slovenskih dijakih. V raziskavi je bila uporabljena deskriptivna in kavzalna neeksperimentalna metoda pedagoškega raziskovanja. Vzorec je sestavljalo 675 dijakov 3. letnikov, ki so se izobraževali v različnih srednješolskih izobraževalnih programih in bili glede na predmetnik za namen raziskave grupirani v tri skupine (kemijsko strokovno izobraževanje, tehniško strokovno izobraževanje in splošno gimnazijsko izobraževanje). Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, da se dijaki zavedajo pomena uporabe osebne varovalne opreme in jo uporabljajo v šolskem kemijskem laboratoriju, razumejo pomene piktogramov in ravnanje z odpadnimi kemikalijami, v primeru izrednih dogodkov pa bi si znali poiskati ustrezno pomoč. Čeprav njihovo znanje o lastnostih nevarnih snovi in tveganjih ni najboljše, se v šolskem kemijskem laboratoriju počutijo dovolj varno. Največ znanja o pomenu varnosti in zdravja v šolskem kemijskem laboratoriju so pokazali dijaki kemijskega strokovnega izobraževanja.

Perception on safety and health in school laboratory by secondary school students
Abstract:
The main objective of this bachelor paper along with the research it pertains was to determine the extent of the understanding of Slovene Secondary Students when it came to the importance of Health and Safety in the School Chemical Laboratory. The research itself was carried out using a causal non-experimental pedagogical method. The sample contains 675 third-year students who were educated at various secondary educational institutions and who were, given their curriculum, divided into three groups (chemical professional training, technical professional education and general secondary school education). The research results have shown that secondary students do in fact realize the pertinence of the use of personal protective equipment and as a result, use them in the school chemical laboratory setting. In addition, the students understand the meanings of the pictograms and are aware of how to manage chemical waste as well as how to behave and react, in the event of an unexpected incident, so as to find appropriate assistance. On the other hand, although the students' knowledge regarding the characteristics and risks of dangerous chemicals is not the best, they do in fact still feel sufficiently safe in the school chemical laboratory. The most knowledge regarding the importance of health and safety in the school chemical laboratory was observed from the secondary school students with chemical professional training.
