The master's thesis “Ability and applicability of the Topcon Hybrid Positioning System in geodetic surveying and staking out" provides an overview of the different methods of geodetic survey, geodetic terrestrial surveying, static GNSS positioning, RTK-GNSS positioning and Topcon Hybrid Positioning. Topcon Hybrid Positioning enables the use of GNSS positioning and terrestrial measurements. The theoretical part contains an overview of the systems and pieces of research on the combined method of geodetic surveying and identifies the problem of combining terrestrial measurements and GNSS measurements. The second part constitutes the practical part of the thesis. It is based on the practical research in which we evaluated the accuracy, efficiency (time and number of operators) and economics of the Topcon Hybrid Positioning combined measurements, which we compared to terrestrial surveying, static GNSS positioning and RTK-GNSS positioning. The survey was conducted so that the coordinates of the points of the temporarily established control network were determined by the abovementioned geodetic surveying methods. Moreover, we compared the coordinates of the control network obtained by the methods discussed to the coordinates of the points obtained by the static GNSS measurement, assuming the coordinates of the points obtained by static GNSS measurement as a reference. Based on the analysis of the results, we included our comments in the conclusion on the practicability of the Topcon Hybrid Positioning system in geodetic practice.
