Abstract

Title:Determination of the vertical gradient of gravity in the building Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering
Abstract:
The diploma thesis describes the relative gravity measurements in the building of Faculty of Civil and Geodetic Engineering with the gravity meter Scintrex CG-3M. Measurements in the building were made twice on two different days on seven different points and seven different floors of the building. Based on the measured differences of gravity acceleration and known heights between different points in the building, we then calculated the values of the vertical gradient of gravity. The obtained results were recalculated in different computer programs and the results were compared to each other. At last we compared the calculated values of the vertical gradient of the actual gravity with the vertical gradient of the normal gravity.
