Through the research, I wanted to show what is the current situation in working with special needs children in regular kindergarten departments. The information I acquired from the sample helped me to extract individual factors that would need to be further improved.
The diploma thesis is divided into the theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part focuses on children with special needs as well as their integration, inclusion and motivation, a series of programmes for special needs children in kindergartens, individualized programmes, cooperation with parents and help offered for children with special needs. The empirical part introduces the problem, goals, hypotheses, methods, a sample, the measuring instrument, data analysis, results with interpretations, and suggestions for improving the education of children with special needs in kindergartens.
The research was implemented by using the descriptive and causal non-experimental method. The data was collected through a quantitative approach.
With the publication of results, I will try to encourage improvement in the field of practice.
