Electrocardiography is a painless process of measuring and recording heart activity using electrodes, connected to the patient's body. With its support we can detect heart rhythm and heart beat, diagnose poor blood flow in the heart muscle and diagnose heart attack. ECG holter measures electrical activity of heart and saves lead data to digital format. It's important that device can save entire electrocardiogram for a few days or even weeks. For this purpose, secure digital cards or USB flash drives are used.
In this thesis ECG holter development process is described, which measures electrical activity of the heart and stores data to secure digital card. Work has 4 main sections. First is described behind the process of ECG measurements, ECG leads, used electrodes for ECG measurement and described ECG holter device. Continues with input requirements. development and description of hardware, used for minimal device usage. Third big section talks about software used on ECG holter with explanation on digital filtering used in microcontroller for signal processing. At the end, there is example of ECG measurement from device with description of improvements needed for future use.
