The graduation thesis examines and confirms the cooperation between kindergartens and public libraries. The main goal of diploma is to analyse the roles and the importance of cooperation between kindergarten and public libraries, to determine who gives the initiative for cooperation, what kind of forms and ways of cooperation emerge and how mutual interaction influences the development of a preschool child.
Through the introduction of cooperation forms between kindergartens and public libraries are in theoretical part of diploma presented and emphasized the key points and factors, which affect the successful mutual cooperation. Some tasks of teachers in kindergartens and public libraries are demonstrated with the help of various authors and their theories. At the same time the significance of mutul cooperation for preschool children is exposed as well. The work itself evaluates cooperation between kindergartens and public libraries, is mainly based on the book Kurikuluma za vrtce, concentrates on the realization, projects and examples of good practice, which are connected with books and readings. Empirical research represents and analyses results, gained by questionnaire filled out by teachers and assistants from Sevnica kindergarten. They were answering questions how, when and in what way they cooperate with public libraries.
