Abstract
Izmerili smo EPR spektre Mn2+ v smrekovih iglicah in listih nekaterih listavcev. Pri nepoškodovanih drevesih smo ugotovili značilen sekstet z intenziteto, ki je sorazmerna kolicini Mn v raztopini. V poškodovanih drevesih je ta, mobilna oblika Mn2+, bistveno manjša. Dodatno smo ugotovili, da so EPR spektri vsota dveh ali treh komponent, kar pomeni, da manganovi ioni ali pa njegovi kompleksi niso homogeno razporejeni po listu, ampak so razporejeni v predele z različno koncentracijo Mn2+. S starostjo iglic ostanejo razmerja izmerjenih utežnih deležev komponent zelo podobna. Kolicina celokupnega mangana pa s starostjo raste tako pri zdravih kot tudi poškodovanih drevesih.

Title:Damage estimation of trees with electron paramagnetic resonance of Mn (II) ions
Abstract:
The EPR spectra of Mn2+ in spruce needles and leaves of broad - leaved trees were measured. A typical Mn2+ hyperfine sextet with intensity proportional to the quantity of Mn in solution was obtained for undamaged trees. A considerably smaller amount of this type of Mn2+ EPR was found Mn2+ for damaged trees. It was also found that EPR spectra are a sum of two or three components representing different local concentration of Mn2+ ions. The weight ratios of the measured components remains similar with age. The amount of total manganese increases with age for undamaged and damaged trees.
