Abstract

Title:Periodical maintenance of forest roads
Abstract:
Periodical maintenance of forest roads in Slovenia in the new system of financing thereof has been analysed. total costs of periodical forest road maintenance is highly dependent on the width of a roadway, the thickness of a wearing course and the distance from a sand pit to a working site. Relatively small deviations between transport and sand costs and the average values expressed as percentage result in great deviations from the average total costs of periodical maintenance. The average of total costs for periodical maintenance of forest roads is only relevant on higher levels (forest management region) and usually does not hold true of an individual forest road.
