Abstract
V svoji diplomski nalogi želim v teoretičnem delu raziskati: (1) kako definiramo in klasificiramo tematiko drugačnosti; (2) na katere načine bi lahko otrokom predstavili tematiko drugačnost in načine, kako jih učiti strpnosti do drugačnosti; (3) predstavitev pravljic v slikaniški knjižni obliki na tematiko drugačnost in opis čustev, ki jih doživljajo drugačni liki v pravljici; (4) primerjava izbranih kratkih sodobnih pravljic na tematiko drugačnosti med slovenskimi in tujimi avtorji ter ugotavljanje, katere so kakovostnejše med njimi. Drugi del diplomske naloge bo empirični in bo vseboval rezultate vprašalnika, ki sem ga razdelila med vzgojiteljicami in vzgojitelji javnih in zasebnih vrtcev ter med zaposlenimi v zavodih, domovih in drugih ustanovah za otroke s posebnimi potrebami. V tem delu želim raziskati, na kakšen način vzgojiteljice/vzgojitelji vključijo drugačnega otroka v skupino sovrstnikov in kako sovrstniki sprejemajo drugačnega. Zanima me, ali si za predstavitev nove tematike pomagajo s pravljicami in kako izberejo ustrezno pravljico.

Title:The theme of difference and comparing fairy tales of Slovenian and foreign youth authors
Abstract:
In the theoretical part of my diploma I will: (1) learn how to define and classify diversity, (2) study which methods to use for presenting diversity to children and how to teach them to be tolerant to diversity, (3) present picture-book fairytales related to diversity and describe the feelings of the characters in these fairytales, (4) compare selected short, modern fairytales on the subject of diversity from Slovenian and foreign authors, and rank them by their quality. The second, practical part of diploma contains results of the survey, which will be filled out by public and private kindergarten teachers, and by personnel in institutions intended for children with special needs. In this part I present my research on the methods teachers use to include a child with special needs into a group of peers and how the peers accept this child. I want to discover, if they use fairytales to represent this subject to children and how they select a suitable fairytale.
