The article describes the results of an evaluation of the
first year of operation of the first Slovenian resettlement programme for homeless people, which was implemented
within the framework of the association Kralji Ulice
(Kings of the Street). Data was collected from users
and professional workers, and there were quantitative
(survey) and qualitative (interview) methods used.
Results point to a relatively successful implementation
of this pilot programme of transient resettlement. The
conclusions of the analysis imply the need to develop
additional complementary programmes, especially
programmes of more permanent resettlement.
