Abstract
Emocije lahko pojmujemo kot svojevrstne ocene pomena, saj je njihova temeljna dimenzija, tj. dimenzija hedonskega tona skoraj identična dimenziji evaluacije, ki jo navadno označujemo kot eno najpomembnejših pomenskih dimenzij. Vzpostavljanje pojmovne zveze med čustvi in jezikovno izrazljivim pomenom usmerja proučevanje emocij od njihovega organskega temelja in primarnih nagonskih procesov k sekundarnim kognitivno-jezikovnim procesom. Zato bi lahko emocije označili kot poseben, rudumentaren tip kognicije. Stalnokognitivno-afektivno interakcijo opazimo namreč že v preverbalni fazi subjektovega razvoja.

Title:Cognitive implications of emotions
Abstract:
Emotions can be considered specific judgements of meaning, for their basic dimension, i. e. the dimension of the hedonic tone is almost identical with the dimension of evaluation, which is usually denoted as one of the most important meaning dimensions. The formation of a conceptual connection betweenfeelings and the linguistically expressive meaning directs the researchof emotions from their organic basis and primary drive process to the secondary cognitive-linguistic ones. Therefore one could denote emotions as a special, rudimentary type of cognition. A steady cognitive-afective interaction can namely be noticed only in the preverbal phase of the subject'sdevelopment.
