Abstract
Optimirali smo utekočinjenje prahu plute (Quercus suber L.) in utekočinjeno pluto uporabili za izdelavo poliuretanskih premazov za les. Prah plute smo utekočinili v glicerolu, z žveplovo(VI) kislino kot katalizatorjem (T = 180 °C,t = 120 min). Z dodajanjem različnih izocianatnih utrjevalcev in katalizatorjev smo poiskali formulacije poliuretanskih premazov, ki so tvorile najustreznejše utrjene filme. Lastnosti površin novih premazov iz utekočinjene plute smo okarakterizirali po standardnih postopkih. Pri vseh premazih smo zasledili slabo odpornost proti vodi.

Title:Liquefaction of cork powder for preparation of surface coatings : B. Sc. thesis
Abstract:
We optimised liquefaction of cork (Quercus suber L.) dust, and on the basis of the liquefied cork prepared novel polyurethane wood coatings. The cork dust was liquefied (T = 180 °C, t = 120 min) in glycerol, with the addition of H2SO4 as a catalyst. To the liquefied cork, various isocyanate curing agents and catalysts were added in order to find the most appropriate formulations for novel polyurethane wood coatings. Some surface properties of the selected liquefied cork based wood coatings were characterised by standard procedures. All the coatings tested, exhibited quite low resistance against water.
