The biggest problem in firms using 5-axis CNC machining centres is the suction of cuttings, because the rotation speed of these machines is very high (up to 24,000 min-1), and the diameters of the tools rather big. We also need to consider the rotation of 4th and the 5th axe of the aggregate, which prevent fixing of the suction system. A measurement system with a vacuum pump was used, and a method of air sampling adopted to establish suitability of the suction tool. 10 measurements were performed and analysed. It was established how shape and largeness of work-pieces together with diameter and rotation speed influence the amount of dust particles in the air. Using a bigger diameter of the equipment and higher rotation speed the amount of dust particles climbs over allowed values. Even before setting up of the whole system, it was found out that the efficiency regarding boundary options of CNC-machine tool working will deteriorate. The noise of the suction machine was also measured, and it was found out that the measured amounts in some options climbed above the allowed levels.
