To control the planning of business functions, modern companies need special tools giving answers to questions and demands of customers already in the early stages of planning. It is important that these tools contain verification of the quality not only at the end of the production process but they have to follow the product or service widely. The thesis presents the QFD method, and also practical example of its usage on the case of sliding doors. The basics, principles and standards of quality are explained; how to achieve quality described, and what can affect it explained. The QFD method is presented, and the house of quality introduced. Some advices on what to consider during the building of the house of quality, details of single matrixes or rooms, so as all of 13 steps of building can be found here. Using the QFD method a new product - sliding doors - was developed.
