3D printing is experiencing rapid development in recent years. Due to the favorable price and fast and precise manufacturing, 3D printing is increasingly replacing the production models of the conventional methods. This thesis presents the history of 3D printing and some common technologies used in 3D printing. There are presented characteristics, weaknesses, as well as a general method of operation. In this thesis I present building and use of 3D printer.
I made pressure, tension and bending test on standard specimens printed with a 3D printer. For the end I have seen specimens under microscope.
