In this graduation thesis a concept of a distributed hospitality in the settlement Spodnja and Zgornja Sorica in the municipality of Železniki was considered. The main purpose is to determine, whether this sustainable concept is an acceptable form of an additional tourism offer. The settlement was analysed whether there are sufficient facilities and buildings for this kind of offer and whether it would add to an increase in the tourism development. This modern form of the tourism offer in the settlement could offer new jobs, improvement of the tourism, have the residents more engaged in local development and give more recognition the village itself.
In the theoretical part of the thesis the characteristics of the tourism, countryside and the idea of the distributed hospitality are presented. A selection of best practices of distributed hospitality in Italy are shown. In the applicative part a more detailed presentation of the area Spodnja and Zgornja Sorica is described. In addition to this a survey in the analyzed area there was also done. Through the survey the residents were asked if they are satisfied with the organization of the village, with the tourism offer in the village and what would they feel about the application of the distributed hospitality in Sorica. In the last part of the thesis based on the performed analysis and survey there the placement of the distributed hospitality in the settlement of Spodnja and Zgornja Sorica is presented.
