There are dangerous and unstable rocks hidden in the forest that covers the slope of the Straško hrib which threaten the inhabitants of the small town called Straža as well as their vineyards. In degree paper we describe the establishment of a geodetic network. A purpose of this network is to develop a detailed geodetic plan of dangerous rocks in the new national coordinate system D96/TM. The configuration of the geodetic network joined GNSS and classical terrestrial methods. We elaborate on the process of preliminary preparations to measurements, GNSS and classical terrestrial methods and also on their processing. Furthermore, we compared and analysed two of the GNSS methods which differ in the use of GNSS stations. Processing and calculating measurements, we generated coordinates with an accuracy of a few centimeters. These coordinates serve as a basis for the new geodetic network.
