The Graduation thesis describes a way to solve the problem of a concrete example that occurs on the street due to incorrect design of intersections and congestion on the road because of transit traffic. Presented is a temporary solution to solve the problems with simple actions on the street as well as the long-term solution, which comprises the construction of a new link road.
In the introductory part, it describes the existing situation on the street. I also describe the critical points of the street that are located in those areas where the safety risk is threaten the most.
The second part describes a temporary solution, where I initially refer to the theoretical basis, which is based on the policy and measurements for traffic calming devices in level and unsignalized intersections. Described are two methods that would help to increase road safety.
In the third part, I describe the long-term solution, which means building a new link road. I also presented traffic study, from which it is clear that the construction of a new link road is justified. I also describe the elements and the alignment of the new connecting road.
In conclusion, I presented both sides of the solution with the advantages and disadvantages, and the conclusion of which solution is better.
