Abstract
Diplomsko delo obravnava prometno varnost osnovnošolcev na njihovi šolski poti. Pri obravnavanju otrok v prometu se moramo zavedati določenih značilnosti, ki so vezane na posamezne razvojne stopnje otroka. Zato je bilo najprej potrebno spoznati nekatere psihološke uplive na prometno okolje, saj človek šele v interakciji s tako ali drugače oblikovanim okoljem, pokaže njegove dobre oziroma slabe lastnosti. Zato je pri oblikovanju prometnega okolja, ter povečevanju znanja o prometu, potrebno izvajati različne ukrepe za dosego prometne varnosti (umirjanje prometa, signalizacija, izobraževanje,...). Osrednja tema naloge je vezana na enega izmed takšnih ukrepov, in sicer na izdelavo Načrta varnejših šolskih poti. To je dokument, ki ga mora izdelati vsaka osnovna šola ob pomoči drugih institucij, in služi otrokom ter njihovim staršem, pri izbiri najvarnejše poti v šolo in iz nje. Za lažji pristop k izdelavi takšnega dokumenta, naloga ponuja osnovne oporne točke, ki se jih je potrebno držati pri izdelavi dokumenta. Potrebno je bilo definirati nabor osnovnih vhodnih podatkov, ki so potrebni za pripravo dokumenta ter elemente, ki jih mora takšen dokument vsebovati. Pri izdelavi ima pomembno vlogo izvedena anketa, tako med starši kot tudi otroki, posvetovanje s šolskim svetom ter lokalno skupnostjo in inventarizacija obstoječega stanja. S pomočjo definiranega poteka dela izdelave Načrta varnejših šolskih poti, je bil za konkretno osnovno šolo izdelan dokument, ki je zaradi narave naloge osredotočen zgolj na tehnični del.

Title:Analysing safe routes to school : graduation thesis
Abstract:
The present work focuses on analysing safe routes to school. Talking about children's in traffic, we have to be aware of some characteristics which are specific for different ages of growth. Therefor it was nacessary to become aware of some psychologic influences in traffic environment, because bad or good characteristics of it are shown only when human step in interaction with it. By creating traffic environment and increasing traffic knowledge it is nacessary to imlepent diferent steps to reach better traffic safety (traffic calming, signalling, education,..). The main theme is about one of this steps, about how to make School travel plan. This is a document, which has to be made of each elementary school suported of other institucions. It is used to show children's and their parents which way to school, is the safest way. The present work offers some elementary items which has to be considered by creating a document. It was necessary to define elementary incoming data and elements which have to be include in document. By creating a document it is important to get some information from pupils and their parents, from school and local community. It is also important to make an inventory of existent situation. On the basis how to make document it was elaborate one for a specific school. The document is focused only on tehnical part, beacuse of nature of the present work.
