Abstract

Title:
Optimization of a universal motor
Abstract:
The thesis describes the 3D modeling of an universal electrical motor based on finite element analysis. The motor is modeled in Cedrat Flux environment. The thesis also describes the commutation motor modeling techniques and modeling of a real motor which is optimized in the second part of the thesis. A part of the thesis is dedicated to the classification and computation of the iron core losses and optimization of copper winding losses in the analyzed motor. The result of this research is the optimized universal electrical motor in a form of prototype. On the basis of the measurements the comparison between the prototype and mathematical model is made.
