The thesis describes resistance spot welding, which is particularly widespread automated welding in various industries.
The thesis consist of four parts. The first part represents the company Resistec UPR d.o.o. & Co. k.d., which manufactures wire resistors and other components for the automobile industry. The second part describes the principle of resistance spot welding with all the parameters, which must be observed for a successful welding of different materials. The third part contains the definition of the problem in the process of resistance spot welding and welding equipment, my procedure of modifying the welding equipment for automating the process, which will contribute to shorter welding time of pieces and control on the correct disposal of the good and the bad pieces. This part also includes a description of the welding machine we used, the flow process, the manufacture of the frame and the steering equipment, and making plans and programs. It also describes the start-up device, where it is seen how successful we were in the construction of the welding equipment. The fourth part includes an analysis of the condition before and after the upgrade of the welding equipment, investment costs and an evaluation of the welding costs. At the end are collected technical documentation of welder, program code and instructions for use, testing and maintenance.
