Abstract
Magistrsko delo je nastalo v sodelovanju s podjetjem Iskratel d.o.o., ki se med drugim ukvarja tudi z razvojem naprednih spletnih aplikacij. Spletne aplikacije lahko uporabljajo različne sinhrone in asinhrone komunikacijske tehnike. Tekom razvijanja različnih spletnih aplikacij se je v podjetju pojavila potreba po orodju, s katerim bi bilo možno kakovostno izvajati avtomatsko zmogljivostno testiranje različnih spletnih aplikacij. Tako je bila moja primarna naloga izbira oz. ovrednotenje orodij za zmogljivostno testiranje spletnih aplikacij. V prvem delu magistrske naloge sem predstavil zgradbo, lastnosti in komunikacijske tehnike spletnih aplikacij. Temu sledi natančen opis zmogljivostnega testiranja in kako se ga je potrebno pravilno lotiti. V nadaljevanju sem predstavil postopek in metode ovrednotenja orodij za avtomatsko zmogljivostno testiranje. Poleg tega je bilo potrebno predstaviti kandidate orodij in v podjetju razvijajoče se spletne aplikacije, ki so bile vključene v ovrednotenje in zmogljivostno testiranje. Rezultate ovrednotenja posameznega orodja sem primerjal in izbral orodje, ki je na primeru različnih obravnavanih spletnih aplikacijah, doseglo najboljše rezultate. S tem orodjem sem potem izvajal še bolj natančne zmogljivostne teste na primeru vseh obravnavanih spletnih aplikacijah in prišel do zelo uporabnih podatkov, ki so glavni pokazatelji kakovosti in uspešnosti spletnih aplikacij.

Title:Evaluation of tools for automated performance testing of web applications
Abstract:
Master's thesis was created in collaboration with the company Iskratel d.o.o. whose activity is also development of advanced web applications. Web applications can use a variety of synchronous and asynchronous communication techniques. During development of various web applications a need for tool, which would be capable to implement high-quality automatic performance testing, appeared in our company. My primary task was selection and evaluation tools for performance testing of web applications. In the first part of the master's thesis I presented the structure, properties and communications technology of web applications. Then follows detail descriptions of performance testing and how it should be properly handle. Furthermore, I presented the procedures and methods of evaluation tools for automatic performance testing. In the second part it was necessary to present tools and web applications that were included in the evaluation and performance testing. Then I compared results of the evaluation of each tool and chose the most appropriate tool. With the winning tool, I carry out more detailed performance tests. Based on results, I obtain very useful information and main indicators of the quality performance of web applications.
