In 1995 the Slovene literary historian Miran Hladnik began to transfer Slovene literary texts to the Internet. Slovene children's literature began to be transferred in 2007. Both projects took the form of student work, initially at the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Education at the University of Ljubljana. Important milestones in the process of the digitalisation of Slovene were the Scholarly Digital Edition of Slovene Literature, the study resource Digital Library of Slovenia dLib.si, The Dictionary of the Slovene Standard Language and Slovene Orthography. A new online resource is the e-edition of The Slovene Biographical Lexicon. All of these contribute to increased access to relevant sources of information as a public good.
