Abstract
Diplomska naloga obravnava merjenje bolečine, ki jo povzroča električna stimulacija pri različnih oblikah električnih signalov. Pri našem poskusu je sodelovalo 19 zdravih prostovoljcev, od tega 10 moških in 9 žensk. Sprednjo golenično mišico prostovoljcev smo vzdražili s sedmimi različnimi električnimi signali. Po vsaki stimulaciji so izpolnili en McGillov bolečinski vprašalnik. Predpostavljali smo, da bo največjo bolečino povzročil monofazni signal. Bolj prijeten od monofaznega signala naj bi bil bifazni signal. Hipotezo smo predpostavili glede na izkušnje pacientov in terapevtov. Naši rezultati kažejo, da je razlika v bolečini med različnimi signali sicer komaj opazna, vendar pa je monofazni signal za večino pacientov bolj neprijeten od bifaznega in izmeničnega signala.

Title:Pain evaluation during monophasic and biphasic electrical stimulation
Abstract:
The thesis deals with the measurement of pain caused by electric signals of different shapes. We had 19 volunteers helping with the experiment of which 10 were male and 9 were female. The volunteers were stimulated with seven different electric signals. They filled out one pain questionnaire after each stimulation. We expected the monophasic signal to be the most painful while the biphasic signal should be more tolerable. Our hypothesis was based on experience of patients and therapists. Our results show that the difference between these signals is almost indistinguishable, however, the result imply the biphasic and alternating signal shapes to be more pleasant.
