The thesis explains the architecture and the operation of a System-on-Chip, running the operating system Linux. The first section covers the description of hardware, which includes system cores interconnect and it's operation. The second section covers the software and is divided into two subsections. First, it describes the software for system's basic configuration, Linux compiling and the translation of program code into memory files and second, it continues with the description of software for loading the contents of a memory file onto the memory of the System-on-Chip.
