The diploma thesis demonstrates the comparison, differences and novelties that occur according to the existing (translated) version of the standard SIST EN 12464-1:2004 and the new version of SIST EN 12464-1:2011 (still in the process of translation into Slovenian language and not an officially released version yet).
The thesis at the beginning provides a general description of how a standard is formulated as a document, who creates and accepts it, and where its consideration and usage is necessary. The main part of the thesis describes the main differences between the two versions of the standard which are compared and described in subsections ordered in the same manner as in the very SIST EN 12464-1 standard. In almost each section there is a difference between the two versions of the standard because the new one provides new requirements, instructions and guidelines for each area described in the subsection.
